I have been AWOL-ing it a bit lately, as I have been totally swamped at worked, and when not at work all I want to do is play around with Farmville and sleep.

Reason why the past week has been a true nightmare:

Yup, its that lovely volcano in Iceland thats been sending its ashes around, creating near-chaos all over Europe.

I work at an airport hotel, close to a central Norwegian airport. You would think that with all planes and helicopters cancelled, we would have nothing to do.
I wish…

Its been BUSY. insane, even. 3 out of 4 of all the busy/crazy days I’ve had at that hotel, have occured within the past week. I work alone this weekend, so I’m sending my wish out there to ask that volcano to take a rest until the weekend is over and done with. Wish granted ? please ?

As for my new, healthy lifestyle, its been going okay. I struggled the most the first week, because people kept giving me cakes and stuff (!). But I worked out extra, and think I managed to cancel out the cake that way 😉

This week I’ve been to the gym twice, and work is so busy that eating is not a priority. Coffee is what keeps me going. And when I do eat I stay mostly healthy. Green apples, bananas and soup.

Also, I went to a thing with all my relatives on my dads side of the family last weekend. I think there was around 90 – 100 people there. It was nice enough. Got to catch up a little with some cousins, and my second cousins/childhood best friends ❤ there was also cake 😉

now I’m planning to do my dishes, cook dinner, watch some mtv, take a shower and then I am off to bed. Sleep 😀

I love coffee. I might be an addict. But I could be addicted to far worse, Im sure.

I love sitting down with a cup of coffee. Taking moments out of my day to drink down some energy and some liquid bliss with a dash of milk.

But somethimes, life gets busy. And you think about that cup of coffee that you so desperately want. You can almost smell it, but you dont have time to get any closer.

And that is when you wish, that life could be like this:

Plug me in, please! ❤

So, I just bought me a bikini from New Look (uk). Summer is two months away. But are you bikini ready just beacause summer is here and you have a bikini ?  The answer for me is a big NO !

Even if I sleep over at the gym and work out five hours a day, I will not be bikini ready in two months. But that doesn’t mean its hopeless, does it ?
I find that whenever I’m in better shape and slimmer than before, I usually feel better about my body. So even if I dont look totally amazing in a bikini this summer, I can still look fit and healthy. And slimmer than I am now.  So in a way, I will be bikini ready this summer. capichè ?

So this is the bikini that is making its way to my home :

I know it looks kinda crazy, but I like crazy. so if I can just shape up some, I’m gonna rock this bikini 😀

Working out is one thing (cause I have this amazing thing that plays music – pictured below), but I love food. Unhealthy food mostly.

But from now on, its seeds and nuts and twigs for me 😉
Well, not really. I’m guessing my daily diet will look something like this :

Have to admit it doesn’t look too bad.

Wish me luck ! ? 🙂

When I found out I was going to be at work for Earth hour this year, I got really excited.

The last day I was at work before christmas, the power went off. and stayed off for hours. Even though it was fairly stressfull (200 guests, no control of which rooms to give them…), one thing I really liked was all the candles I lit ALL OVER the reception.

And now, I got to light all those candles again, and the recption almost looks magical. Its really cosy, and serene, and we are making a stand while we’re enjoying 32 little flames on blue and green candles.

I have photos on my phone. will share them as soon as I can.

Lights off, everyone ! 😀

The Norwegian Whaling quota for 2010:

The Norwegian govenment’s reason for whaling:

Its an important part of the Norwegian diet and an important part of the Norwegian culture

The government is lying. I am Norwegian. From an island. I have NEVER eaten whale meat. I have never seen whale meat on the dinnertable. Not in my home, nor in anyone else’s home.

Whaling is wrong. Its barbaric, disgusting and shamefull.

Stop Whaling NOW!

The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society are asking for people to help and support Captain Peter Bethune.

Bethune boarded the Japanese whaling ship Shonan Maru No2 on February 15, to serve the captain a citizen’s arrest warrant, after Shonan Maru No2 rammed and sank the Ady Gil (of which Bethune was captain). The Shonan Maru No2 immediately set sail back home to Japan to hand Bethune over to the Japanese government.

Bethune is currently in a cell in Tokyo, waiting for formal charges to be pressed.

If you wish to read more about this case you can go on to the Sea Shepherd website (http://www.seashepherd.org/matilda/support-captain-bethune.html)

On the same site you will also find ways of helping and supporting Bethune.

Not that my opinion matters greatly, but I’ll put in my two cents anyway.
When I first hear about the boarding, I thought “not again, this is just plain stupidity”.
Memories of Pottsy and Giles boarding a Japanese whaling ship only a few years back popped into mind. They were released, and brought back to the Steve Irwin, but I immediately knew that Bethune would not be released. The whalers have stated before that if anything like this ever happened again, the person (s) boarding their ships would be brought back to Japan and charged. They stayed true to their words.

However wrong boarding someone else’s ship might be, I still support Bethune’s choice, and will do what I can to help. On January 6, the Shonan Maru No2 rammed the Ady Gil, causing it to take in water and eventually sink. One of the crew members on the Ady Gil was injured, but luckily he wasnt hurt too bad. Also, it could have easliy had a much worse turnout. Losing a ship is one thing, but it could easily have resulted in lives lost. Which is just NOT acceptable. Bethune boarded the Shonan Maru No2 to make a statement to just that. Ramming and sinking his ship, and jeapordizing his own, and his crew members’ lives, while not taking responsibility for it is wrong. Bethune boarded the Japanese ship to make a stand and to let them know that their behaviour is NOT acceptable.
There have been absolutely NO legal matters as result of the Shonan Maru No2 ramming the Ady Gil!!!

Support the Sea Sheoherds, and support Bethune. With no legal action taken against the Shonan Maru No2, there should be no legal action taken against Behtune either!

For you who think that the road doesn’t go anywhere, that life is only a struggle, that hope is fading fast.

The road DOES lead to somewhere.

I have been down, I have cried and I have fought my way through all the crap that I had come to believe that was my life.

The spring is here. The sun is out. I am making plans, making decitions. I can truly see that the road is going forward. It might be a clichè, and it might be cheesy, but it needed to be said.

I feel happy. Truly happy. I know there will be more struggles, and I know it wont always be easy. But it is easy today. And if its easy today, then tomorrow could easily be easy too.

When the road is dark and you are on the floor screaming, trust my words when I say, that the road leads somewhere. And it is worth the fight.

Keep walking 😀
