I went to my cousin and his wife’s wedding yesterday. They were already married, but the family wanted a party so partied we did, and it was great. Im so so tired now though.

So, my colleague asked me the other day, could you please come to work earlier on friday. i said yes.

On saturday, the first bus is at 9am. from work.

Meaning: I just said yes to a 12hour shift. (nightshift 8 hours + 4 hours day)

The Norwegian hotel business is not quite as crazy in summer as the rest of the worl, but the people of Germany ALWAYS manage to find their way here to our beautiful country. I work in a typical Norwegian airport hotel, and 80% of our guests at the moment are german. Therefore, I can truly say.

I know how many German people can fit in an elevator !

Last load down the elevator was 10 (and the elevator is quite small…!)

I must be an eternal optimist.

I live in Norway, and I have not yet acquired an umbrella for myself.
If you are not Norwegian, or you do not know much about Norway, you are probably thinkink something like this right now:  “isn’t Norway just snow and ice ?!”

The far north of Norway is usually cold and icy for most of the year. The rest however, is just incredibly rainy.

So therefore, I must be an eternal optimist, because I still do not own an umbrella. I cannot even remember owning one. Maybe it is time though. because the fact that im an eternal optimist doesnt change the fact that, it’s now raining outside.

I will be heading to the shops tomorrow. To buy summer clothes. if it rains on my way there, I might decide that it is finally time to cool down my optimism a little bit.

After all, I don’t like to get wet!!!

I have an appointment at the hospital on thursday. Going to get new xrays of my broken arm, to see if i need to keep the cast on or if its healed enough.  Im not sure what theyll say, or whats gonna happen. Am i going to get the cast of and go back to reality ? or am I keeping it on and staying away from work for a few more weeks ?

whenever I get back to work its gonna be really tough. some people are leaving, and I havent seen them looking for new people yet. so im guessing well get overworked again, and my guess is that ill be left alone a lot because ive been away for so long. also, ive missed out on every little piece of information that might be important at work, and I just feel like trying to get back into it is gonna be extremely rough…Ill keep u posted!

Here are some words on whats been going on with me and in my mind lately:

I broke my arm !! I went home for easter, and on Thursday I BROKe my arm…Close to my wrist. how lame. I spent hours at the hospital wth my sister Aina laughing about what had just happened, an abou how none of my other family members believed us when we told them we where at the hospital ….. we sent them a pic. from the x-ray room and thats when they finally believed me. I dont know what me and Aina did to deserve this mistrust!! (well, I might have a small clue..but still !!!?)

Been wearing a cast for a week now, going back to the hospital again tomorrow for new x-rays and a checkup..hoping I might not need a new cast

I’m a nighttime receptionist at a hotel. Guests who go to bed late or get up insanely early annoy me. I think its rediculous when people who can sleep at night dont. I guess i should find a new job, cause I like to go to bed when normal people do….(or should…)

Its december 27th and I’m starting to get restless.  Spending time at home and not working is MINT, but noone has time for me.  not even my so-called best friend. last time I saw her it was for ten minutes to exchange presents. last time before that was when we “patched things up” in November….so much for that best friend, huh !?

anywho, christmas time is great, its warm, the food is great (but its waaaaay to much) and I got some great presents. but i miss having a life. not that I have one where i live and work, but at least there I’m making money while not having a life. I guess ill be spending the rest of the night looking for a new job. I need to do something else, somethign that allows me to work in daylight, that will make me more money, so when I need to i have enough money to run far far away for a long long time …… I regret coming back from England. I love seeing my family more often, but thats where the good part of the list stops…..I need to be somewhere else in order to truly be me. anyone have thoughts on where i should go ?
