About
I’m Jenny, a 22 year old Norwegian native. Born and raised on Bømlo, a small island (poulation 11.000) on the west coast of Norway.
I left my lovely family (mom, dad, and my siblings Einar Aage, Aina, Mette Susann and Tobias) and friends there at 18, when I packed my suitcase and left for Newcastle (Upon-Tyne), England.
I graduated from Newcastle University a year ago, with a BA in English Language.
At the moment I am a nighttime receptionist at a hotel in Stavanger, where I earn my living by arguing with German tourists in german (and I dont speak a work of german!).
Where I will go from here, I honestly don’t know yet. But if you want to find out, I suggest you keep reading my blog
I love to write, and books, film and music is a major part of my life. As you will probably understad from some of my posts (the ‘random’ ones).
RANDOM FACTS about me:
* I LOVE the Goo Goo Dolls, but my favourite song ever is ‘In the Sun’ by Joseph Arthur.
* I LOVE the book ‘How I Live Now’ by Meg Rosoff, but my favourite book(s) ever is ‘Twilight’ by Stephanie Meyer.
* I LOVE the jellyfish with blue rings, but I’m allergic to jellyfish with threads.
* I LOVE vodka and orange (and blue bols and orange), but I’m allergic to citrus fruits.
* I LOVE McFlurry ice cream, but Ben and Jerry’s Phish Food is my favourite.
* I LOVE when I manage to get up early and don’t waste the day, but I HATE getting up early.
* I have been to more places in the UK than I have been to in Norway, I’ve lived in Norway for 19 years and in the UK less than three
* I love to dance, but think it looks better when I’m drunk (!)
* I have an ’older man crush’ on Ryan Stiles from Whose Line is it Anyway?
* I vote for remaking the Twilight movie with Emily Browning as Bella (and also replace EVERYONE else….I might consider keeping Kellan Lutz though…)!
* I miss Newcastle, I love my home-island and I hate Stavanger (where I live now)
* My grandmother wants me to move home (to the island). She reads job ads. from the paper out loud when I’m around, and if she sees me talk to someone of the opposite sex she always tells me afterward how nice he seems.
* I analyze horror films when I watch them because then they don’t scare me quite as much.
* If I like a band/an artist, I buy their album. But I hardly ever listen to it, cause by the time I get it I have usually heard it so many times on my mp3 player that I can’t bother putting the cd on. But its a nice way of supporting my favourite artists though, spending money on their music
